I am beginning to believe that good things and bad things happen in bunch, rather then a random distribution of events. And today, the events happened on a negative way, all my civil structure failed on there final analysis, all because I did not consider either the earthquake parameters, or failed to visualize the critical load conditions. And what is more disappointing , is it did not failed once, or twice but after repeated calculations , visualizations and understanding.

Civil Engineering is always look after as a neglected sister of engineering, but the history says that, it is the oldest of all engineering field, the father of other engineering field.

When I entered the designing field, I thought things would get saturated within few months, but now I feel even this life time is not enough. And considering today’s repeated failure, I am beginning to respect this field.

Anyway, from now on , I will give more time on planning and visualization before I put pen on paper, as what is said that , success is 80 percent planning and 20 percent execution.
