for the past three week, i am trying to come up with a good short story. By good, i mean to say, -grammaticaly correct, lucid, structurally sound, and above all, a subject to speak off. And i have to say, writing a 3 page short story , is really a tough task, considering writing 200 page novel, looks for me a task of a life time. I did try, and i did say, that i failed.

When asked edison, how he felt after failing 10,000 times, while trying to make electric bulb, he replied, that he never failed, but he discovered 10,000 ways to fail.

Keeping these, thought provoking words in mind, i can now write about the ways to write a bad short stories.

1> first rule to write a short story, is to talk not about the character, but about the ideas, about the opinion the writer have for the character, leaving no room for imagination for the reader
2> write with the flow, write what comes in your mind. This will help to write copious amount of Balderdash, but only Dead fish go with the flow, so is Dead Writing.
3> do not give details, i mean, just write Ram killed Ramesh, rather then talking about what revolver ram used, why ram killed, and how ram was killed.
( i came to an interesting point that, even Ram killed ramesh can be made a short story, only you consider detailing vividly, about the “how”, “when” and “what” of the story
5> and the last thing, to write a bad story, is to write not about what you see in the world you live, but write about what it would be like, when you be Hritik Roshan.

anyway, i have given up the idea of writing a short story, and will continue with my balderdash, and preachiness
